Tailgate Not Closing

I have a 2020 Limited and the tailgate won’t close. It will go about 2/3 rds down and then reopen. There is nothing blocking or interfering with it closing.

Have You Tried Using All Three Methods To Close it? Button On Dash? Button On Tailgate Itself? And Using The Remote?

Can you manually push it closed?

it turned out the plastic part of the lift actuator was broken and interfered. Dealer replaced both sides under warrant.
