Official fuel consumption figures for the 2020 Hyundai Venue have just been published by the Environmental Protection Agency.

All Venue models sold in the United States come outfitted with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder delivering 121 HP and 113 lb-ft of torque. When this engine is mated to the available CVT, the small SUV returns 30 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, making for a combined 32 mpg.

This places the CVT-equipped Venue just behind the Nissan Kicks that returns 33 mpg combined but does make it slightly more efficient than the larger Honda HR-V, Hyundai Kona, and Subaru Crosstrek. If you go for the available six-speed manual, the Venue is less economical, as it returns 27 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined.
